FDA & Safety
Are your products FDA approved?
No dietary supplement is FDA approved. The FDA does not approve supplements before they go to market. Our products are FDA regulated under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA), meaning we are responsible for safety, accurate labeling, and compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards. The FDA can take enforcement action against any product that is adulterated or misbranded. This is the same regulatory framework that governs every supplement brand on the market, from GNC and Whole Foods house brands to Garden of Life and Nature Made.
Are your ingredients FDA approved?
The FDA does not approve individual supplement ingredients the way it approves drugs. Instead, the FDA sets safety standards that all dietary ingredients must meet under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. All of our ingredients meet FDA safety standards and are manufactured in a cGMP-compliant facility.
Are your products manufactured in a GMP-certified facility?
Yes. Every Astivra product is manufactured in FDA-registered, cGMP-certified facilities in the United States.
What does the disclaimer on your label mean?
Every dietary supplement in the United States is required by law to carry the statement: These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. This is a standard regulatory disclaimer required under federal law. It does not mean the product is unsafe or unregulated. It means the FDA has not reviewed the specific structure/function claims on the label, which is how all supplements work under DSHEA.
